Overview of Services

Health Research Informatics Core

The Health Research Informatics Core (HRIC) supports the clinical data pipeline for Einstein and Montefiore. This provides informatics infrastructure, tools, and standards that optimize collection, retrieval, integration, sharing, processing, and communication of biological, clinical, and environmental data for clinical and translational research. The HRIC is a trans-disciplinary service that supports all investigators with the entire life-cycle of information processing for translational research across the diverse spectrum of translational and outcomes research.

Qualitative and Mixed Methods Core

The Qualitative and Mixed Methods (QMM) Core supports investigators and community partners in conducting rigorous, impactful research that captures the complexity of social and clinical contexts. By integrating qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, the QMM helps identify not only what works, but for whom, under what circumstances, and why. The Core offers consultative and training support across the full research lifecycle—from study design through dissemination—to generate meaningful, actionable evidence.

Community Collaborative Core

The Community Collaborative Core (CCC) advances community-engaged clinical and translational research by fostering equitable partnerships between investigators and the Bronx community. It supports efforts to accelerate research addressing local health priorities, promote meaningful community participation, and build sustainable capacity for engagement across all phases of research. The CCC also provides consultations, resources, and training to develop best practices and strengthen the science of community-engaged research.

Administration Core

The ICTR Administrative Core provides centralized administrative and operational support to facilitate access to ICTR programs and services. Offerings include event coordination and registration management for ICTR-sponsored seminars, workshops, and trainings, as well as general program support for investigators and stakeholders. These services are designed to streamline participation and enhance engagement with ICTR resources.
